What kind of company is Solmaz?
Solmaz is an award-winning, London-based construction and joinery company established in 2003. We design, build, restore, fit out and refurbish residential and commercial buildings across London and the South-East of England, working directly with developers, landlords, architects and consultants.
What types of project do you take on?
Our work falls into three broad areas: carefully executed residential construction and renovation, high-quality commercial fit-out, and bespoke joinery and carpentry. Projects range from new-build luxury homes and apartments to restaurants, showrooms, retail units and commercial offices.
Where do you work?
We operate throughout London and the South-East, with a long record in premium central locations such as Covent Garden, Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Kensington. Our workshop and offices are in North London, which allows us to service sites across the capital efficiently.
Do you produce your own joinery?
Yes. Our joinery and carpentry unit runs a fully equipped workshop with specialist machinery and an in-house spray shop, so bespoke items are designed, manufactured and finished under our own supervision rather than subcontracted out.
Do you work alongside architects and designers?
We do, and a great deal of our work comes through them. We are used to implementing a designer’s intent precisely, resolving detail queries on site and maintaining the drawn information through to completion.
How involved are the directors in each project?
Directly involved. Our directors oversee projects personally from the earliest stages through to handover, combining engineering and commercial expertise with hands-on management of programme, quality and workmanship.
Are you accredited?
Yes. Solmaz holds recognised industry accreditation, including CHAS, and has previously received national and international recognition for its construction and carpentry work, including a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) award.
