1. Our commitment

We want www.solmaz.co.uk to be usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification or speech recognition software. Because our website is led by photography, we pay particular attention to how visual content is described and how easily pages can be navigated without a mouse.

2. Standard we are working to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This includes providing text alternatives for images, maintaining sufficient colour contrast, ensuring the site can be operated entirely by keyboard, and using clear, consistent page structure and headings.

3. What we have done

  • Descriptive alternative text is provided for portfolio photography.
  • Headings are used in a logical order so that pages can be navigated by structure.
  • The site is responsive and legible on desktop computers, tablets and smartphones.
  • Text can be resized in the browser without loss of content or function.
  • Contact details are given in plain text as well as in links.

4. Known limitations

Some older photographs in the portfolio archive may have limited alternative text, and embedded third-party content such as maps may not be fully accessible because it is outside our control. We review these areas as the site is updated.

5. Feedback

If you encounter a barrier when using this website, or if you would like information from the site in another format, please contact us at info@solmaz.co.uk or on 020 8450 4400. Please tell us the page address and describe the difficulty. We aim to respond within five working days.

6. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which provides advice on accessibility matters in the United Kingdom.
