As principal contractor, Solmaz delivered the technical remediation and enhancement of a completed mixed-use development of 21 residential apartments and one retail unit. Our team investigated the existing construction, identified compliance issues and put remedial solutions in place to meet current Building Regulations and achieve Building Control approval. The works involved coordinating complex multidisciplinary trades, including sprinkler systems, electrical installations, fire alarms, mechanical ventilation and commissioning. We upgraded fire compartmentation, resolved water ingress through the external façade and balconies, replaced damaged flooring, and completed tiling to balconies, shower areas following full tanking, and communal spaces, while ensuring full accessibility compliance. The result is a fully compliant and durable building that met all Building Control requirements.
