Main Construction and Fit-Out Works at DEM Museum, Excel London, E16 1XL

Solmaz Limited was appointed as Principal Contractor for Timewalk: The Lost Civilisations Experience, an immersive cultural attraction located within Chapter 2 at Immerse LDN, ExCeL London Waterfront.

The project transformed an existing basement level beneath ExCeL’s exhibition halls into a purpose-built visitor experience, combining architecture, immersive technology and artistic installations to bring the stories of Göbeklitepe, Babylon, Ancient Egypt, the Maya civilisation and Rapa Nui to life.

Delivered within an ambitious 14-week programme, the project demanded careful planning, precise coordination and the seamless integration of numerous specialist disciplines. Working in close partnership with the client, the employer’s design and technical teams, consultants, AV specialists, exhibition installers, artists and specialist subcontractors, Solmaz successfully coordinated every stage of the construction and fit-out while the wider ExCeL venue remained fully operational.
